All our asbestos consultants are lfoh or cmfoh certified occupational hygienists, experienced in managing asbestos.
What we do:
Asbestos management surveys
Used to locate the presence and extent of any suspect acms on site, whether it be a marine vessel, offshore installation, building and structures which could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy, including foreseeable maintenance and installation, and to assess their condition.
Refurbishment and demolition surveys
Required before any refurbishment or demolition work is carried out to locate and describe all acms in the area. The survey will be fully intrusive and involve destructive inspection, as necessary, to gain access to all areas, including those that may be difficult to reach.
A refurbishment and demolition survey may also be required in other circumstances, e.g. when more intrusive maintenance and repair work will be carried out or for plant removal or dismantling.
There are occasions when a combined survey is appropriate. These are required when a site needs a management survey and a specific area or room is due for refurbishment and a refurbishment and demolition survey to that area or room is conducted.
Hawkes health offers asbestos re-inspection services that ensure the regular monitoring and assessment of risk and, in so doing, assists the duty holder in managing asbestos.
Our re-inspection service also includes:
- Survey any areas not accessed originally.
- Deliver customer labelling policies and ensure that labels are applied to areas of the building if required.
- Offer recommendations for safe management, including removal or encapsulation, when ACMs have been damaged and the risk has increased.
- Other customer-specific inspections including emergency, scoping and quality.
Hawkes Health offers routine and emergency onshore and offshore bulk sampling and analysis of suspect materials in buildings or structures.
Your sampling results can be delivered within a few hours as we are partnered with a national network of UKAS-accredited laboratories.
Hawkes Health offer onshore and offshore air monitoring and four-stage clearance services to ensure that asbestos removal contractors are operating in line with your project and regulatory requirements.
The following air tests are available:
- Personal air monitoring
- Four-stage clearance leading to certificate of re-occupation
